How English courses for adults work
Teaching methods
Programs that develop the necessary skills. Topics that are relevant to students. Games for relaxation and learning at the same time. Bonuses and gifts that motivate you to continue learning. Ratings to track your progress. An unconventional way to learn a foreign language.
Learning formats
Group format: the unique feature is that the teacher has time to work with each student. Individual format: designed so that students can work at their own pace. Mixed format: a combination of these formats, where the student first works in a group and then revisits the topics one-on-one with the teacher to better consolidate their knowledge.
First results
Thanks to constant conversation practice, where students who are not yet proficient try to speak and use English, we see significant progress after just a few months. The first steps are the hardest, but once you overcome one brick of the language barrier, you develop your skills much more dynamically.
International test and certificate
At the end of the course, students take an English exam to obtain a certificate of their level. The test is based on the LanguageCert certification organization model, and the certificate can be used to confirm knowledge in professional and educational activities.
Choose a course that suits your level and learn step by step
English from scratch (Beginner, A0 – A1)
The first step to success. Suitable for those who have planned but have not yet tried. We get acquainted with the basic structures, learn the basics of phonetics and word formation, simple word combinations, and common phrases. We get used to the teacher’s pronunciation.
English for beginners (Elementary, A1 – A2)
Step 2 of progress. For beginners who know how to build simple combinations and are familiar with common phrases. We learn the basics of grammar and vocabulary, the most common language structures for everyday communication, and the tenses of the first level, and immediately try to speak a little, but without rushing, using a few word combinations. We listen to native speakers and “catch” familiar phrases.
Conversational English (Pre-Intermediate, A2 – B1)
Step 3 to discovery. For people who will explain the way to a foreigner and then worry for the rest of the day whether they found the main train station. We learn sentence structure, use tenses, and speak more confidently on familiar topics. We listen to more conversational and functional English in adult speech, conduct dialogues, describe and explain our daily lives, and read simple articles and excerpts from speeches.
Intermediate English (Intermediate, B1 – B2)
Step 4 of advancement. For those who can communicate in everyday situations, talk about how their day went, and understand most of what a native speaker says. We expand our vocabulary, work on more complex materials, and adapt professional topics. We watch movie excerpts and translate our favorite passages from literature. We look at examples not only from hobbies and entertainment, but also from work.
High level of English (Upper-Intermediate, B2 – C1)
The fifth and penultimate step to making your dream come true. Suitable for students who understand elements of slang, watch movies without subtitles, speak on complex topics, and can write lexically diverse texts without mistakes. We communicate with native speakers, learn to use English in different styles, and work on the most difficult grammatical and lexical topics. We begin to review what we have learned and prepare for the final test.
Professional level of English (Advanced, C1)
Step 6 of improvement. We analyze accents and different styles of speech. We consolidate our knowledge and fill in any gaps if necessary. We paraphrase, supplement, and fully translate our own thoughts. We improve our skills and prepare for the final test.
Why you should choose AP Courses’ English language school for adults
Even adults need confirmation
The methods we constantly use: communicative teaching, audio-lingual method, lexical approach, direct method, and many other well-known ways to learn a foreign language.
Even adults need entertainment
Close to You is an original development that engages every student in the lesson, attracts attention, and sparks interest. It is the main principle of “interesting learning,” thanks to which students learn using game-based methods. And on the online platform, they complete interactive tasks and watch their favorite movies, series, and shows in English.
Even adults need support
At AP Courses, students are never left alone with English, because in addition to the teacher, they are also accompanied by a support manager. They make sure that you keep up with the pace and don’t get discouraged if learning is difficult.
Even adults need understanding
We also have a chat room with teachers and students. Don’t be shy — they will find the answer to any question, support you in difficult times, share useful links, laugh with you at memes, and accept cards on holidays.
Even adults need a second chance
We know that many students have already started and finished learning English several times. We offer exactly what they lacked last time.
“Quitting is normal, starting over is right,” — AP Courses.

Frequently asked questions and answers about English language schools for adults
What level of English do I need to start learning?
At AP Courses, everyone can find an English course that suits their level. We offer programs for beginners who are just starting their journey in learning the language (for example, the From Zero to Hero course), as well as for those who want to maintain and improve their existing level. That is, from level A0 to C1.
How can I determine my level of English before starting the course?
We offer the opportunity to determine your level of knowledge in a trial lesson. With the results obtained, we will be able to select a course and learning strategy, understand what to focus on in the program, and provide this information to the teacher for processing and preparing materials for the course.
Do you offer a trial English lesson?
Yes, AP Courses offers a trial lesson. All students take it before choosing a program, and this service is free of charge. It is a great opportunity to get acquainted with teaching methods, learn how you can master English completely in 1 year, and understand whether our teaching formats, program pace, and teacher’s approach are right for you.
What English teaching methods do you use?
Our teachers currently use the following methods: communicative teaching, audio-lingual method, lexical approach, direct method, and interactive method. We also use the “flipped classroom” method and teach according to British university programs. But what makes learning at AP Courses special is our Close to You methodology. Here are some of its features: eye contact, elements of eidetic imagery, visual presentation of material, and healthy competition within the group.
Is it possible to learn English online?
Yes, online learning is a topic that has been analyzed many times, and the results of the experience of institutions with thousands of graduates who have learned English remotely have been agreed upon. They have demonstrated that the online format is not inferior in effectiveness to traditional methods, and it is also more convenient, faster, and more functional. Our center is improving it in its own way, as in the case of Close to You.
How long does the English course last, and how often are classes held?
We have courses of varying lengths, designed for 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, and 1 year. They are designed so that students study 2-3 days a week, which is the optimal frequency for effective learning. It is important to note that the workload increases as the level increases. That is, for students of levels A1-A2, we provide a total of 36 theoretical and practical classes, for levels B1-B2 – 48, and for B2-C1 – 60.
Do you issue certificates after completing the English course?
Yes, at the end of the course, students receive certificates with the results of the final exam. Certificates are used to confirm knowledge and level of English when applying to educational institutions, as an addition to a resume, for traveling abroad, and for other needs if there is no requirement to provide the results of official international exams.
Is it possible to change the group or English teacher during the course?
Yes, students have the opportunity to change teachers at any stage of the course. However, it is important to understand that there are no complications with this option in an individual format, while finding another group in the middle of the course is somewhat more difficult.
We understand all students. We are ready to empathize with everyone and adjust the progress of each group so that they progress at the same pace, but we are not yet able to do so. Therefore, if a student wishes to transfer to another group in the middle of the course, they sometimes have to adapt their progress to the dynamics of that group. These details should be clarified with the manager.
What payment options are available for English courses?
We offer several options. Students pay for courses using the company’s bank details. Payment can be made online from any bank, either in full or in instalments. We also often offer seasonal discounts, allow customers to use promo codes, and raffle off course certificates that can be given to loved ones as gifts. All additional payment information should be clarified with the AP Courses manager.
