How individual English lessons work

The tutor conducts English lessons online. Here, you won’t have to waste time on other students’ answers, wait for your turn, or raise your hand higher than the “straight-A students” — you won’t have to learn the general curriculum and optional information.

In our format:

The student studies one-on-one with the teacher;
We tailor the program to your goals (work, study, relocation, or just for fun);
We select materials based on the student’s list of interests;
additional analysis of difficult points – we analyze mistakes;

First, the teacher determines the student’s level — not with a quiz or test, but with a separate lesson. They check each language skill: comprehension and usage.

Goal
Gradual mastery — we follow the lesson structure clearly and try to cover every aspect of the topic so that the student does not have to spend extra time studying on their own.

Warm-up: 5%, vocabulary: 15%
Grammar: 25%, listening + reading + pronunciation – 15%

Schedule
The student and teacher agree on a convenient time. Canceling or rescheduling a lesson is allowed, but we recommend doing so in advance.

Practice on your own
Homework assignments are presented in quests on online platforms. In addition, each student receives feedback from the teacher: areas that need more work and strengths that need to be reinforced.

Frequently asked questions about learning with an English tutor

How long does a class last?

A lesson lasts 55 minutes. It usually ranges from 50 to 60 minutes for adults and 45 to 50 minutes for children, as this is the optimal time to maintain concentration throughout the lesson and sufficient to learn new material. Some lessons last 30 minutes.

Can I change my English class schedule?

Yes, individual lessons always have a flexible schedule. You can agree on convenient days and times with your teacher and, if necessary, reschedule or cancel a lesson by contacting your teacher or service manager. Please make changes in advance if possible.

Do I need a certain level of English to get started?

No, you can start learning at any level, from absolute beginner to C1. During the first lesson, the teacher will determine the student’s level and select or make notes for the methodologist to create a program that allows you to move at a comfortable pace, improving your language skills gradually.

At what age can you start learning English?

It is recommended to start learning a foreign language after 4–6 years of age. At this age, children are already able to comprehensively perceive new information, and adults can start at any time: there are no restrictions on effective language learning, even for people of advanced age. Desire and openness to new knowledge are more important here.

Will there be homework in English?

Yes, the teacher gives homework to reinforce the material and practice between classes — this usually consists of exercises, watching a video or movie, or tasks on interactive platforms. Homework is not burdensome, but serves as an additional tool for reinforcing the material.

How many English lessons do I need to improve my level?

At our pace, on average, it takes 15–20 lessons in the early stages and up to 30–40 lessons at higher levels to move between levels, depending on the intensity, regularity, and alternation of theoretical and practical lessons. The student’s motivation and dedication also play an important role in this matter.

How much does an online English lesson cost?

The cost of an individual lesson ranges from 468 to 640 hryvnias. It depends on the package you choose, i.e., the scope of services provided by the teacher, manager, and methodologist, as well as additional tools to facilitate and enhance the learning process.
